The standard does not require mass deviation or absorption time for panty liners; the water absorbency limit is at least 2 times for the liner and at least 7 times for the day and night pads.

Supplements: heavy metals, aflatoxins, pesticides and microbiology

Balance and Change were screened for heavy metals, aflatoxins, microbiology and more than 650 pesticides. The report gives no statement of conformity; the laboratory's measured values are shown below as reported.

SCOPE

What these results show, and what they don't

  • Each report covers a specific production batch; batch and report numbers are listed with the tables.
  • There is no published laboratory report for the intimate care spray yet.
  • The 50+.care and sens.care gels were not tested for SLES; all four gels have a microbiology analysis.
  • The supplement report gives no statement of conformity; the values are the laboratory's measurements.
FREQUENTLY ASKED

About the tests

What does an accredited laboratory mean?

Accreditation means an independent body has assessed a laboratory's testing competence against the ISO/IEC 17025 standard. In Türkiye that body is TÜRKAK, in Italy ACCREDIA and in China CNAS. The accreditation number on each report shows this assessment.

What does the microbiology analysis of the gels measure?

It measures whether bacteria, yeast and mould are present in the product and in what amount. In all four gels the total bacteria and the yeast and mould counts were checked, and four disease-causing microorganisms were tested for. None was found; all values are within the guideline's limits.

Which tests were done on the pads?

The pads were tested to China's sanitary pad standard GB/T 8939-2018 and its standard for disposable hygiene products, GB 15979-2024. pH, formaldehyde, absorbency, moisture, adhesive strength, fluorescent substances and microbiological cleanliness were measured; every value for all three pads is within the limits.

Can I see the full report?

Yes. Write to us and we will share the full report. Reports are issued under each laboratory's own terms; the values on this page are taken from them word for word.
